Toinks!

We’ve been hooked on Dexter (the TV series) lately. We’ve started watching Season 1 just last month and we’re now on the 3rd season! We just can’t stop watching the show. We sometimes end up sleeping at 2 in the morning just because we can’t resist pushing that little ‘Play’ button episode after another exciting episode.

Since Dexter is now done with its 4th season and working on its 5th due to premiere on September 26, 2010, we try not to check out articles or videos in the Internet that could possibly ruin the excitement of watching every episode of Dexter. However, I got really curious about Michael C. Hall, the actor playing Dexter Morgan. So I Googled. Ugh, I should have known better.

Well, I was happy to learn that he actually won several awards for his performance in Dexter, but I also learned that he is also battling Hodgkin’s lymphoma. It was sad to know that one of my favorite actors has cancer, but reports mention that the cancer is in remission and that he is continuing treatment.

What disturbed me really is the fact that Hall is actually married to Jennifer Carpenter, the actress playing Debra Morgan. For non-followers of the series, Dexter Morgan and Debra Morgan are foster siblings. So, yes, they actually play brother and sister in the series. I don’t know, it just feels different watching Dexter and Debra now that I learned they really are husband and wife in real life. Should they name their first child Morgan?
