I’m sorry to the fans of Andrew Garfield, but I honestly haven’t heard of him before his name was splashed on news for being chosen as the new Peter Parker / Spider-Man. To those of you who haven’t been introduced to this new superhero, here are tiny details I was able to gather about him.
Andrew is a dual citizen of the United States and the United Kingdom, born on August 20, 1983 in Los Angeles, California to a British mother and an American father. He was raised in England after his family moved there when he was 3 years old.
He has appeared in a number of films (The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, The Other Boleyn Girl, Lions for Lambs, Boy A), television shows (Red Riding, Trial & Retribution XI: Closure). He has also landed roles on stage (Romeo & Juliet, The Overwhelming) and in radio shows (Caesar, Church).
He has been into acting for some time, but this is probably his biggest role yet. We will be seeing more of him for sure as Spidey fans wait for the still-untitled Spiderman reboot film with bated breath.
