Manny Pacquiao: Box Office Flop!
There is only one point I would like to make in this post: Although he is respected by Filipinos as the ultimate King of Boxing, Manny Pacquiao needs to STOP making movies!
This is how the films of the 2009 Metro Manila Film Festival ranked in terms of sales.
FIRST DAY GROSS SALES
1. Ang Panday – P16.9M
2. Ang Darling Kong Aswang – P16.7M
3. Shake, Rattle and Roll XI – P16.2M
4. I Love You, Goodbye – P11.7M
5. Nobody Nobody But Juan – P8M
6. Mano Po 6 – P6.9M
7. Wapakman – P750,000
FIRST 3 DAYS GROSS SALES
1. Ang Darling kong Aswang – P38.2 M
2. Ang Panday – P37.4 M
3. Shake, Rattle and Roll 11 – P35.8 M
4. I Love You, Goodbye – P30.7 M
5. Nobody Nobody But Juan – P16.9 M
6. Mano Po 6 – P16.4 M
7. Wapakman – P1.7 M
His ‘Anak ng Kumander’ entry to the 2007 Metro Manila Film Festival was also a loser, with only P2.5 M overall.
This only means one thing — No one wants to watch Manny Pacquiao act, except perhaps for those with free WapakMan movie passes (thus the P1.7 M sales)!

Pinoys want him in the ring and NOT on the silver screen, and am betting that we don’t want him either in the halls of the Philippine Congress…

It is obvious i believe that Manny Pacquiao is at the moment the best pound per pound in boxing! We used to see him all-round General Santos before when he still weren’t well-known, but exactly what concerns most of us is definitely his affiliations with this particular political figures. Boxing wise Manny certainly is the greatest no doubt but in relation to deciding on pals he is lousy. Manny is just too nice and too trusting, we seen Manny paying out luxurious junk to all or any of his staff that appeared to be simply using him for his cash.
